Terms of Service for Ransom Zapper

1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using Ransom Zapper (the “Extension”), provided by Aurora CS AI Ransom Zapper (“we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is available at https://auroracs.ai/ransom-zapper-privacy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of the Service
Ransom Zapper is a Chrome extension designed to protect your online experience by:

Blocking intrusive ads, pop-ups, and scam content;
Detecting and alerting you to potential ransom or scam attempts;
Dynamically updating network blocking rules; and
Scanning installed extensions to help you identify potential security risks.
To perform these functions, the Extension accesses several Chrome APIs and requires permissions such as activeTab, alarms, cookies, declarativeNetRequest (and related permissions), identity, management, scripting, storage, and tabs.

3. License and Usage Rights
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the Extension.

4. Data Usage and Privacy
Your privacy is our priority. In order to deliver its full range of security features, the Extension accesses certain data as detailed in our Privacy Policy. Key points include:

Local Data Storage: All user settings, analytics, and logs are stored locally on your device via Chrome’s storage APIs.
No Unnecessary Online Storage: We do not collect, store, or share personal data online except for minimal information needed for subscription verification.

Extension Scanning: When scanning your installed extensions (using the management permission), only non-personal data (such as extension names, IDs, permissions, and status) is used to help inform you about potential security risks and is not transmitted or stored online.

By using the Extension, you acknowledge and agree to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscription and Premium Features
Certain features within Ransom Zapper require a subscription. Subscription management—including billing and cancellation—is handled via our trusted third-party provider. Your access to premium features is contingent upon maintaining an active subscription. Failure to comply with subscription terms may result in the suspension or termination of premium access.

6. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

Use the Extension in any manner that could harm or interfere with the operation of your device or any network.

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension.
Circumvent or disable any security or access control features of the Extension.

Attempt to use the Extension to access or modify data beyond the scope of its functionality. Any misuse of the Extension may result in termination of your license and may subject you to legal liability.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, CONTINUOUS, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL AURORA CS AI RANSOM ZAPPER, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT (IF ANY) PAID BY YOU FOR THE EXTENSION.

9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aurora CS AI Ransom Zapper and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Extension or your breach of these Terms.

10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Extension at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Extension will immediately cease.

11. Modifications to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any modifications will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aurora CS AI operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration or in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
